What is Life Unloaded?

Life Unloaded offers a friendly and flexible concierge service for everyday tasks – from pet care and errands to event support and home assistance – across North Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. 

What areas do you cover?

I currently serve a roughly 15-mile radius from SG7 (North Hertfordshire) depending on the service. If you're just outside this area however, or if you're not sure, feel free to get in touch – I may still be able to help! 

Can I meet you before booking?

Yes, I offer optional meet & greets for services like pet sitting or in-home support. These are free for first-time bookings and can be scheduled during the booking process. 

Can I request a custom service?

Absolutely! If you need help with something that doesn’t quite fit into one of our listed services, just drop ME a message and I'll do our best to accommodate you. 

How do I book a service?

You have two options:

• Booking Request Form: If you'd prefer to chat first or need something more customised, you can submit a booking form and we'll get back to you to confirm availability and arrange payment.

Dog Sitting

Will my dog be left alone at all during the stay?

Yes — during daytime dogsitting, your dog may be left alone for short periods while I attend other bookings (usually just one or two quick drop-ins). I’ll always work around your dog’s needs to minimise time alone, and they won’t be left for more than a few hours at a time unless agreed.

If your dog struggles with being left (e.g. separation anxiety), let me know — I’m happy to chat through it. In some cases, there may be a small additional fee to reflect a more hands-on stay where I’m with your dog the entire time.

Will my dog be walked during the booking?

Absolutely — walks are included unless you prefer otherwise. I’ll tailor walks to your dog’s usual routine and energy level, so whether they’re a quick-sprint enthusiast or a slow-sniff wanderer, they’ll get what suits them best. 

What do I need to provide?

As I’ll be staying in your home, you don’t need to pack a thing! Just make sure your dog has everything they normally use — food, lead, bowls, and anything that helps them feel comfy (bed, blankets, toys, etc.). If your dog takes medication or has a specific routine, I’ll make sure to follow it exactly as needed.

What happens after I submit a booking request?

Once you send the form, I’ll be in touch within 24 hours to confirm availability or chat through next steps. If it’s your first time booking, we’ll arrange a free meet & greet so I can get to know you and your dog before confirming the stay. 

Dog Walking

Can I book regular walks each week?

Absolutely! The booking calendar above supports one-off bookings. If you'd like to arrange a regular schedule (like every Monday and Thursday), just drop me a message and I’ll set everything up for you.

Can you walk more than one dog?

Yes, I’m happy to walk multiple dogs from the same household. Just pop me a message before booking so I can confirm availability and pricing.

What happens if the weather’s bad?

Unless it’s dangerous (like thunder, extreme heat, or icy conditions), walks will still go ahead — rain jackets on! If your dog has any weather sensitivities, just let me know when booking.

Pet Drop-In

Can I book multiple visits in a day?

Absolutely! Just let me know the times you’re after when you fill out the form and I’ll confirm what’s possible.  

Do you offer drop-ins for cats too? 

Yes! This service is for all pets — not just dogs. Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, you name it. 

Can you do non-consecutive bookings? 

Of course! If you’re away for a few days but only need help here and there, I can accommodate flexible dates. Just pop them into the form when booking. 

Will you keep me updated while I’m away? 

Of course! I can send a quick message or photo update if you'd like — just let me know your preference. 

Home Check-Ins

What’s included in the £10 base fee? 

It covers a general property check (windows, doors, blinds, lights), light tidying, post collection, and basic upkeep like flushing taps/toilets. You can then customise your visit with optional add-ons. 

What if I need multiple add-ons? 

Go for it! You still only pay the £10 base fee once per visit — then stack as many extras as you like. 

Do I need to be home for you to visit? 

Nope — as long as I have secure access (key, code, lockbox, etc.), I can carry out the visit while you're away. We’ll arrange the details in advance. 

Can I book in regular check-ins while I’m away? 

Yes! You can use the calendar to select multiple non-consecutive dates. I’ll then confirm and help tailor each visit to what you need. 

Will you confirm what’s happening at each visit? 

Definitely. Once I receive your booking request, I’ll reach out to talk through what you’d like during each check-in — whether that’s by email, phone, or over a coffee. 

Shopping and Errand Service

Can I ask for multiple errands in one session? 

Yes! You can bundle tasks into one booking — just make sure it fits within the time limit. If not, I’ll let you know and I can extend the session.

How do online shopping errands work? 

You can send your list or login info (securely), and I’ll shop on your behalf. I can keep receipts and take photos as I go if you’d like. 

Can I set up a regular weekly shop or recurring errands? 

Definitely! Whether it’s a weekly grocery run, picking up a prescription every other Tuesday, or grabbing dog food from Pets at Home once a fortnight — I can build your errands into a recurring routine. Just let me know what you need and how often, and I’ll set something up that works for you. 

Do you charge for petrol or mileage? 

Not usually — travel is included within the service area. For longer trips or remote locations, a small travel fee may apply (I’ll always confirm first). 

Can you shop from specific stores? 

Of course — just let me know your preferences. Whether you want Tesco, Waitrose, or that one little deli in town, I’ll do my best to accommodate. 

Moving House Service

Can you help with packing before the move? 

Absolutely! Whether it's boxing up a few last bits or tackling the whole house, I can help you sort, pack, label, and even declutter if you’d like. 

Do you provide transport or help with moving heavy furniture? 

I am meant as an extra pair of hands rather than a removal service, so I don’t provide a van or move large/heavy items (like sofas or appliances). But I can help carry lighter boxes, load/unload where possible, and coordinate with your moving company. 

What if I just need someone there to help things run smoothly? 

That’s exactly what I’m here for. I can stay at the house while you run errands, be a second pair of hands on the day, keep pets calm, or just help take the stress out of it all. 

Can I book you for a few hours the day before or after the move? 

Of course! Whether you need help preparing beforehand or settling in afterwards, I can be booked for any part of the move — not just the big day itself. 

Do I need to know exactly what I want help with before booking? 

Not at all — just give me a rough idea and we’ll work out the details together. If you’d prefer to talk it through, I’m happy to arrange a free consultation before confirming anything. Coffee's on me!

Event Set-Up

What types of events do you support? 

I can help with all kinds of gatherings — birthdays, baby showers, garden parties, community events, or casual get-togethers. If you’re not sure, just ask! 

Will you bring any supplies? 

No, I’ll be using what you provide on-site, but I’m happy to help arrange or organise what’s already there. 

How early can you arrive? 

That depends on availability, but I’ll always aim to be there at the time that works best for your setup. We’ll agree this in advance. 

Can I book you to help both set up and pack down? 

Absolutely — just let me know! You can book one or both services depending on your needs. 

Event Assistance

What kind of events is this service suitable for? 

Pretty much anything! Birthdays, anniversaries, garden parties, engagement dos — if you need a friendly helper in the background, I’m there. 

Will you bring any supplies? 

No, I’ll be using what you provide on-site, but I’m happy to help arrange or organise what’s already there. 

Will you wear a specific outfit or uniform? 

Absolutely — whether it’s smart, casual, or themed, I’m happy to adapt to your event vibe. Just give me a heads-up! 

Can you help with set-up or pack-down too? 

Yes! If you’d like help before or after the event, check out my Event Set-Up or Pack-Down services — or feel free to mention it in the booking form!

Event Pack-Down

Do I need to stay for the pack-down? 

Not unless you want to! Many clients head home and leave me to it — I’ll make sure everything’s packed up neatly and securely. 

Can you take rubbish away with you? 

I don’t offer rubbish removal as standard, but if arranged in advance I may be able to help with small amounts. 

Can I combine set-up and pack-down support? 

Definitely! If you’d like help at both ends of your event, just tick both when filling in the form or let me know directly.
